I was urged to write this for long time. Many people think, drinks are given
in churches and Christians have fun time there. Also for all celebrations ,
Christians drink and enjoy as a family. Well let me illustrate you the verses
in the Bible, which teaches on drinking. Then you will understand what type of
teaching is there in the Bible for yourself.
Instructions given by God for His workers(who are dedicated to Him like
today’s Pastors ,Deacons and believers)
Numbers 6:1-4
1. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
2"Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: "When either a man or
woman consecrates an offering to take the vow of a Nazirite, to separate
himself to the LORD,
3he shall separate himself from wine and similar drink; he shall drink neither
vinegar made from wine nor vinegar made from similar drink; neither shall he
drink any grape juice, nor eat fresh grapes or raisins.
4All the days of his separation he shall eat nothing that is produced by the
grapevine, from seed to skin. |
Instruction given to a Mother on how to grow up a
child (who was called to be dedicated to God)
Judges 13:3,4
3.Angel of the LORD appeared to the woman and said to her, "Indeed now, you
are barren and have borne no children, but you shall conceive and bear a
son.
4.Now therefore, please be careful not to drink wine or similar drink, and not
to eat anything unclean.

1Timo 3:2,3,8
2. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober
minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach;
3. not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not
quarrelsome, not covetous;
8. Likewise deacons must be reverent, not double-tongued, not given to much
wine, not greedy for money.

1. Wine is a mocker, Strong drink is a brawler, And whoever is led astray by
it is not wise.

29.Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has contentions? Who has complaints? Who
has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes?
30.Those who linger long at the wine, Those who go in search of mixed
wine.
31.Do not look on the wine when it is red, When it sparkles in the cup,
When it swirls around smoothly;
32.At the last it bites like a serpent, And stings like a viper.
33.Your eyes will see strange things, And your heart will utter perverse
things.
34.Yes, you will be like one who lies down in the midst of the sea, Or
like one who lies at the top of the mast, saying:
35."They have struck me, but I was not hurt; They have beaten me, but I
did not feel it. When shall I awake, that I may seek another drink?

Isaiah 5 :11,12,13
11.Woe to those who rise early in the morning, That they may follow
intoxicating drink; Who continue until
night, till wine inflames them!
12.The harp and the strings, The tambourine and flute, And wine are in
their feasts; But they do not regard the work of the LORD, Nor consider the
operation of His hands.
13.Therefore my people have gone into captivity, Because they have no
knowledge; Their honorable men are famished, And their multitude dried up with
thirst.

1.Woe to the crown of pride, to the drunkards of Ephraim, Whose glorious
beauty is a fading flower Which is at the head of the verdant valleys, To
those who are overcome with wine!
2.Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one, Like a tempest of hail and
a destroying storm, Like a flood of mighty waters overflowing, Who will bring
them down to the earth with His hand.
3.The crown of pride, the drunkards of Ephraim, Will be trampled
underfoot;
