Let us start with Lord’s prayer

Before starting please read Mathew6: 5-11.

Mathew  6 . 5-11  The sermon on the Mount was covered in chapter 5 & 6.  Jesus taught  his disciples and the crowd ABOUT LAW, ABOUT ANGER, ABOUT ADULTERY, ABOUT DIVORCE, ABOUT VOWS, ABOUT REVENGE, LOVE FOR ENEMIES, ABOUT CHARITY, ABOUT FASTING & ABOUT PRAYER.
One point we can understand about prayer is” Prayer is a private conversation between Lord and the person who prays. When we further read the verses we get reply to the questions raised in the beginning of the blog.
WHEN YOU PRAY GO TO YOUR ROOM CLOSE THE DOOR, PRAY TO YOUR FATHER WHO IS UNSEEN,AND your Father who  sees what you do in private, will  reward you.( here the main point is  that we are praying to God without seeing him and whereas He straight away looks at you. In the Bible many places we can read that the Lord is present whenever one more more people assemble and pray )
WHEN YOU PRAY DO NOT USE A LOT OF MEANINGLESS WORDS. YOUR FATHER ALREADY KNOWS WHAT YOU NEED BEFORE YOU ASK HIM.

Verses 9 beautifully continued , this then, is how you should pray:
Our Father in heaven: May your holy name be honoured: may your Kingdom come:may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us today the food we need.  Forgive us the wrongs we  have done as we forgive the wrongs that others have done to us. Do not bring us to hard testing, but keep us safe from the Evil One.

Verses 14 He continued If you forgive others the wrongs they have done to you, your Father in heaven will also forgive you. BUT if you do not forgive others  then your Father will not forgive the wrongs you have done.

In other words if we do not forgive others our entire prayer is meaning less and waste.(Jesus Christ throughout his life on earth had forgiven others who committed wrong to him and recommended to the Father in heaven to forgive people who committed sin against Father also)
I request all to participate and contribute on prayer.   Next we shall discuss the content of the prayer etc.
Todays summary:
1)      Prayer is a private conversation between the God and one who pray:
2)      God look at you while you pray and you feel his presence.

Also read Mathew 7 7-11 and Luke 11 2-4.

PRAYER

DEAR ALL

THE DISCUSSION IS ABOUT THE PRAYER

WE HAVE DIFFERENT VIEWS ON PRAYER AND THE VIEWS KEEP ON CHANGING FROM TIME TO TIME AND AGE TO AGE.  WHEN WE ARE CHILD PERHAPS WE PRAYED FOR CANDIES. IN SHORT EVEN AFTER GROWN UP STILL OUR PRAYERS TO GOD ARE SAME SOMETHING LIKE CHARTER OF DEMANDS.

LET US DISCUSS ONLY WHAT WE UNDERSTOOD FROM THE BIBLE AND WE WILL NOT DISCUSS WHAT WE ARE TAUGHT ABOUT PRAYER FROM OTHERS.

WE WILL DISCUSS MAINLY ON

WHAT TO PRAY?

WHEN TO PRAY?

WHY TO PRAY?

HOW TO PRAY?

FOR THE FIRST 15 DAYS WE WILL DISCUSS ONLY ON THE PRAYERS OF JESUS CHRIST. WE REQUEST ALL OF YOU TO CONTRIBUTE THEIR OWN VIEWS WITHOUT ANY HESITATION.OVER THE PERIOD WE SHALL DISCUSS PRAYERS OF OTHER SAINTS.
